Internet Filtering Policy

South Whidbey School District (the District) is required by federal law (to comply with the E-Rate program) to filter all users accessing the internet via the school internet connection. In addition, the District also filters all school issued Chromebooks regardless of what internet connection they use.

On-site filtering of privately owned devices is done via network level filtering by our Sophos XG firewall content filter. Chromebook filtering is done by the Securly cloud filter.

Each school building has a set of policies based on the age of student in the building.
