Overview:
- To access Clever, all students will sign in using their Google Apps account (username@sw.wednet.edu) and go to https://clever.com/in/swsd
- All new to MS & HS Students will need to reset their account when the first login.
- K-2 kids can access Clever without typing in their accounts! (learn more below)
- Quick link to student logins (learn more below on how they are used in various apps and Clever)
ES K-2 Students
- Schools can now utilize 'Clever Badges' for K-2 students
- What are Clever Badges?
- Simply print out a badge (piece of paper with QR code), click on the Clever Badge login link and show the badge to the student device camera!
- All badges can be accessed and printed by teachers via Clever if they are a lead teacher assigned to a class roster [Guide]
- Or: Admins can access and download all Badges from their Clever Portal Admin (reach out to technology@sw.wednet.edu if you have not received an email from Clever)
- If you school does not want to utilize Badges: no problem and follow same directions as 3-4 Students

ES K-4 Students:
- To access Clever this year students will be asked to sign into Google Apps (username@sw.wednet.edu)
- If a student Chromebook device is setup for 3-12th grade, when a student signs into their Chromebook, it will automatically sign them into Clever and launch the Clever homepage!

MS & HS Students:
- All new to MS & HS students will be asked to reset their Google Apps password at start of the year (used to access Chromebooks and Clever)
- The default MS & HS student logins are saved here: (note that the PWs will not work for Google Apps or Clever after their first login)
- This is a security measure to ensure students do not use each others static PWs (and also a good 21st century tech skill to practice)
- If a MS & HS student forgets their Google Password: the teacher (or any staff member at that school) can directly reset it following these directions. This will cut down on wait time of any students who forget their PWs.
- Bonus: if a student is using a Chromebook, when they sign into the device, they will automatically gain access to Clever (no need to sign in 2x)

When are student accounts available?:
- "Next Day": once a student is enrolled, they will have an Google Account the next morning start of school
- However: many apps (such as Accelerated Reader) rely on students being enrolled into a class roster. Your school teams manage all class rosters and if you have any question around their placement or status, please contact them.
