If you've forgotten your password for any of the systems in use at South Whidbey, please reference the steps for the system which you need a new password for.

Google Apps for Education (Gmail, Google Drive, Chromebook/Chromebox, Assigned Inventory, etc.)

  1. Login to the helpdesk with your Windows domain credentials if you know them (otherwise look at the steps for getting a new Windows password)
  2. Create a ticket in the Information Technology department
  3. Give your ticket the subject "Forgot Google Apps Password"
  4. A technology team member will see your ticket and reset your password to a one time use password
  5. Login with your temporary password from the ticket reply
  6. Choose a new password that hasn't been used in Google Apps before
  7. Remember that new password

Windows Domain (Windows PCs, networked Mac OSX)

To continue with these directions, you need to have logged into the helpdesk at least once.

  1. Compose an email to helpdesk@sw.wednet.edu
  2. Give your email the subject "Forgot Windows Domain Password"
  3. Send your email
  4. A technology team member will see your ticket and reset your password to a one time use password
  5. Login with your temporary password from the ticket reply
  6. Choose a new password when prompted to do so. Remember to type in your temporary password in the top box and type your new password twice.
  7. Remember that new password
  8. This password is used in multiple places (helpdesk, SchoolWires, Content Filter), please keep it safe.

    1. Click on Forgot your Login/Password?
    2. Continue following the instructions on the website

If you are unable to reset your password this way, follow the directions for Windows Domain passwords but replace the subject with "Forgot Skyward Password"
