As a staff member, you may have multiple screens/displays. This guide will help you in setting up and choosing the display configuration that works best for you.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open the start menu:
  2. Click on Settings:

  3. Click on System:
  4. Ensure you are on the Display submenu
  5. The diagram shown will tell you how your displays are configured

  6. You have a couple options for your consideration:
    1. Have all screens independent (extended)
    2. Have two screens show the same content (duplicated/mirror)
  7. To have two screens show the same content (duplicated/mirror), click on the first screen you want to be part of the set, then select Duplicate Desktop on # and # from the Multiple displays menu. Where the # are the screen number. You can find the screen numbers by pressing identify.

    1. A typical scenario is to duplicate your laptop screen with your projector and leave your monitor independent. To do this, select your laptop screen (generally screen/display number 1) and Duplicate it to screen number 3 (generally your projector/VGA connector on the back of your laptop). This leaves your monitor (as display number 2) independent, allowing you to continue working privately on the monitor without showing your students.
